Each episode features real-life stories from individuals raised in some of Chicago’s toughest neighborhoods and also from all around the country: former gang members, drug dealers, incarcerated individuals, and those impacted by violence. Hello, brothers and sisters. This is Cisco Terrazas coming to you from another from wrong to strong two minute Devotional. The Bible verse I'd like to touch on today will be James one, two to three. Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. At first it sounds strange to find joy in hardship who celebrates pain, loss, or difficulty? But James is not telling us to enjoy suffering itself. He's reminding us to look at what God is doing through the suffering. Trials are the training ground of faith. Every test is a chance for God to deepen our trust and strengthen our perseverance. Romans five, three to four echoes this truth. We also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance. Perseverance character and character, hope." God is building something lasting in us, a faith that can endure storms and point others to Christ. And in John 16:33, Jesus himself assures us In this world you will have trouble, but take heart. I have overcome the world. That means our joy is not in avoiding trials, but in knowing that Christ has already secured victory for us. So today, when challenges come, instead of asking, why me ask Lord, what are you teaching me? Trials may be heavy, but they carry the seeds of perseverance, character, and hope. That is where Joy is found, not in the storm, but in the Savior who walks us through it. What trial are you facing right now? How might God be using it to grow your perseverance and strengthen your faith? This reminds us that even in suffering, there is purpose. God is shaping and strengthening us through the trials. I hope this message touches someone's heart today. Please share it with others because there are many out there who need to hear this message of hope that is promised by our savior, Jesus Christ. I am Cisco Terrazas, and I am from wrong to strong.
